  19. MINIMAL Computer Hardware / Software Requirements
  20. IBM compatible PC 486/66Mhz or higher
  21. 8 Megabytes RAM
  22. SVGA monitor/display set at 256 colors or greater
  23. Double-speed MPC compatible CD-ROM drive
  24. Windows 3.1 or later/Windows 95

  26. This disc will also run on a Macintosh system 7.0 or higher.

  31. In order to run properly the "Deepak Chopra's The Wisdom Within" 
  32. program requires QuickTime for Windows (version 2.1 or newer). 
  33. QuickTime for Windows must be installed on your machine, along with 
  34. the Matrix font and a few small files for your personalized Journal 
  35. and Personal Program.  This is all handled automatically by the 
  36. SETUP.EXE.

  40. INSTALLATION- WINDOWS 95
  41. To install "Deepak Chopra's The Wisdom Within":
  42.  
  43. 1.  Click on the "Start" menu from the task bar then choose "Run..." 
  44. Type D:\SETUP (if D is the CD-ROM drive) and click "OK".
  45.  
  46.     Note: This program does not support the Windows 95 autostart 
  47. feature.
  48.  
  49. 2.  The program requires QuickTime for Windows 2.1 or later to run 
  50. properly.  If you don't already have QuickTime for Windows 2.1 or 
  51. later installed a dialog box will appear giving you the option to 
  52. install it.   The QuickTime installer searches for any older versions 
  53. of QuickTime and asks to replace them.  You will need to restart 
  54. Windows for the Matrix Font and QuickTime to be recognized by the 
  55. system.

  57. 3.   Make sure that your monitor is set to 256 or more colors. Please 
  58. see MONITOR SETTINGS below for more information on how to check or 
  59. make adjustments.   (The program will let you know when it starts if 
  60. you do not have enough colors.)

  62. 4.   When the installation of "Deepak Chopra's The Wisdom Within" is 
  63. complete, you will see  "Wisdom" listed in "Programs" under the Start 
  64. menu. To begin the program, select "The Wisdom Within".

  90. Manager.  To begin the program, double click on "The Wisdom Within"

  98. PASSWORD
  99. To access the Personal Program and Journal features on the program 
  100. you will be asked to choose a password.  Please write this down and 
  101. keep in a safe place.  If you forget your password, open the file 
  102. "DATA.TXT", located in the WISDOM folder, which can be found in your 
  103. C:\WINDOWS or C:\WIN95 folder.  Your password will be listed directly 
  104. below your user name.

  108. MONITOR SETTINGS
  109. In order for "Deepak Chopra's The Wisdom Within" to run properly, 
  110. your monitor must be set to 256 colors or greater.   Running it at a 
  111. lower setting will invoke a dialog box to warn you.   Should you 
  112. proceed, graphics and colors will distort.
  113.  
  114. Running the program at 32,768 or more colors may cause the program to 
  115. slow down and/or for the video movies to behave erratically on some 
  116. machines.   It also may cause text highlighting to appear in a 
  117. strange color.
  118.  
  119. For Windows 3.1 users, please refer to your hardware/windows manual 
  120. for more information should you need to change the number of display 
  121. colors.

  123. For Windows 95 users, you can change the monitor colors by the 
  124. Display Control Panel.  Within the Display Control Panel select 
  125. "Settings" and then "Color Palette".   You may have to restart your 
  126. computer for changes to take effect.

  131. SYSTEM CONFLICTS
  132. Sometime system extensions may conflict with the smooth operation of 
  133. "Deepak Chopra's The Wisdom Within".  If you experience any 
  134. conflicts, try shutting off any screen savers, network connection or 
  135. other system enhancement features.  Also be sure to close down any 
  136. other applications which might be currently open.

  141. MEMORY ALLOCATION
  142. If you are running this program on Windows 3.1 (or 3.11) with less 
  143. than 16 megabytes of RAM, be sure Virtual Memory is set to at least 
  144. 10 megabytes of permanent virtual memory.   The virtual memory 
  145. setting can be found under the "Enhanced 386" control panel.
